58 buques MSO de esta serie forman la clase AGILE / AGGRESSIVE que se superponen muchas veces e incluso se crea la clase DASH con algunos de ellos. Las diferencias existentes radican principalmente en la superestructura ya que el casco es identico en todas ellas. Otras unidades fueron construidas directamente para marinas aliadas. La experiencia adquirida durante la 2ª Guerra Mundial y la Guerra de Korea, llevó a introducir el casco de madera para las nuevos buque dragaminas, junto a materiales amagnéticos y sistemas para evitar los ruidos y vibraciones de las maquinas de abordo. Poseian un sonar de casco para la detección de minas, y mediante rastras, sistemas eléctricos y acústicos podían neutralizar los diferentes tipos de minas.
